Mrs. Stella M. Emmert nee Finch died at her home on Garfield street Thursday evening at 8:30 o'clock from pneumonia. The death terminated an illness of nine days, originating with influenza. Mrs. Emmert was born near Linnsburg, October 28, 1885, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emmett Finch. She was married to Henry Emmert of this city August 25, 1907 and had lived here for the past fifteen years. She buried her only son Lewis, eight years old, about three months ago. The deceased is survived by her husband and two daughters, Evelyn and Letha, her parents, of this city, and one brother, Roy Finch, of Lebanon. Her brother Fred, preceded her in death eight years ago. Funeral services will be conducted from the home at 10 o'clock Sunday morning in charge of Rev. Sherrill of the United Brethren Church. Burial will be made in Mace K of P cemetery.

Again the death angel has visited our city and claimed a wife and mother in the person of Stella (Finch) Emmert, death resulting from a nine days illness of influenza followed by pneumonia and heart trouble. Mrs. Emmert was born on October 28, 1885, and had lived the greater part of her life in this city. She was married to Henry Emmert, August 25, 1907. To this union three children came to bless their home, Letha, 10 years old, and Lewis, aged 8, the older girl, Evelyn, having made her home with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Finch. This death is sad in that three months ago the boy, Lewis, preceded his mother in death her parents were not able to attend the bedside of this loved one, Mr. Finch having had bad heart attacks and his wife and granddaughter on account of a nervous collapse after the death of her mother. Doctors, neighbors, and friends can say what their hands could do was of no avail and she fell asleep on Thursday, November 14, 1918. Neighbors and friends for twelve years can say with a host of others, that Stella was a faith full wife and kind anxious mother. It was always a pleasure to be in the home, as both her and her companion always had a smile of welcome. Funeral services were held from the home on Garfield street Sunday morning at 10:30. The body was laid to rest at the K of P cemetery at Mace.
